About Wendy Broad, Teacher of the Alexander Technique, Mindfulness Teacher and Bowen therapist
Wendy Broad is the founder of Mindful Calm. She has 18 years experience of mind-body awareness techniques and is a STAT qualified Teacher of the Alexander Technique as well as a mindfulness teacher.
She has a Postgraduate Certificate in Mindfulness-based approaches from Bangor University. Her studies included Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), Mindfulness for Health and Mindfulness and the brain. She has completed a Mindfulness Teacher Training Course Level 1 and MBSR specialist teacher training with the Centre for Mindfulness Research and Practice (CMRP).
Wendy started out as a scientist and has an Honours Degree and PhD both from The University of Liverpool. Wendy qualified as a Teacher of the Alexander Technique in 2003, after completing a three-year full-time teacher training course with the Society of Teachers of the Alexander Technique (STAT).
As a member of a number of professional organisations including the Society of Teachers of the Alexander Technique (STAT) and the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC) register for Alexander Technique teachers, Wendy is bound by a strict code of professional conduct and competence and holds professional indemnity insurance.
